2014 Plans
This past holiday season was intense, and I am so thankful that such a numerous amount of people chose my toys as gifts for their loved ones! During sewing breaks, I kept scribbling in my notebook ideas for this coming year. I am so excited to work on new items!
1. New Plushlii
Plushlii are my small plush doll designs (measuring about 8" tall), currently including Hip Fox, Ninja Cat, Ninja Bunny, and Ninja Fox. I'm expanding the line with a Fawn, Raccoon, Red Panda, and Woodland Pixie.
2. Expanding Beyond Toys
I'd like to start making acrylic charms, stickers, more pillows, and more buttons/magnets with my artwork.
3. New "Mythical" Critters
I'll be updating my Yeticorn design this year. Also making Merdogs, including Merpug, Merboston, Merfrenchie, and Merhuahua. I am also bringing back Baby Bigfoot, but updating the design to include little feet peeking out from under his fur.
4. Start Using Spoonflower
I have always wanted to get into textile design and make my own fabric patterns. Well, a semi-new trend that's starting is using Spoonflower to print out art doll patterns onto fabric, which you then cut out, sew together, and stuff. The possibilities are endless! I'd like to bring back my Mushroom Cottage design but use Spoonflower this time around. This gives me freedom to get as detailed as I want with the design, since I'll be using my artwork printed on fabric. It's such a neat idea, and I love the way it looks!
