Merpug Plush Kickstarter Launch Date!

My Merpug prototype arrived yesterday! I love it so much, and I couldn't wait to share the news with everyone. This morning I sent my final revision to Shinedown Productions and will be finalizing my Kickstarter this week. The Merpug Plush Kickstarter will launch on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11am (EST). I have been dedicated to this project since November of last year, and to think that the Merpug Kickstarter is finally just around the corner... I can't stop smiling!!I handed out an entire stack of postcards featuring the upcoming Kickstarter to folks at Tidewater Comicon. Many people had never heard of Kickstarter and since most people were busy at the con, I had to describe it in one sentence: "A Kickstarter project is crowd-funded, and it's All or nothing." So basically, if we don't meet the funding goal for Merpug to be produced, Merpug won't exist and your backer pledge won't be charged. Hopefully, that won't happen! At every convention I've done, when people see Merpug or any of the merdogs for the first time, their whole face brightens and they can't help but laugh!Merpug is hilarious, odd, and absolutely adorable, and I would love for people to have a Merpug designer plush of their own. The prototype that I received is ridiculously soft, squishy, and the perfect size for cuddles!
