Upcoming Event: ROFcon 2016
One of my biggest business goals for this year is to do more shows AND list more items in my online shops. In years past, I've always struggled with balancing those two actions, and the main reason it's always been that way is because of one thing: Time Management.This year I'm being more strict with myself to keep a daily calendar. So far, I've already seen so many great improvements just because of this one change! I launched my first project of the year (the Cool Critters Trio) and applied for and been accepted into a show I've never done before. I'm really excited to be on the right track.My first show of the year is Ring of Fire Con, aka ROFcon. ROFcon is an annual multi-genre convention held in southeastern Virginia to celebrate fandoms of all kinds. I've attended ROFcon since it first launched a few years ago, and it's always been a favorite of mine. The staff is friendly and load-in/load-out/picking up badges has always been extremely easy. The attendees are polite and happy to be there, because even though ROFcon is on the smaller side they've always done a great job at providing lots of fun panels and events. If you love anime, scifi, fantasy, video games, etc. then you will definitely enjoy this con.This year, ROFcon will be at a new venue and sharing the space with their sister convention, FursonaCon. I'm really interested to see how things will play out at this larger location and their placement of the Artist Alley.ROFcon takes place March 18-20, 2016 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA.
