Cookie Cat Plushie Update
I had to do some slight modifications to my Cookie Cat plush design. For fan-art plush, I always do my best to create a design as close to the source as possible. In case you aren't an adult who enjoys watching cartoons (lol), cookie cat is an ice cream sandwich from the show Steven Universe on Cartoon Network. So of course, you have the two cookie wafers and an ice cream middle. To create this look, I sewed the wafers and ice cream separately on my sewing machine, then hand-sewed the entire plush together. I can no longer physically make them this way since it has greatly exacerbated my hands/fingers/wrists issues. It has taken me months to come up with a solution that would reduce the hand-sewing but still be a design I would be satisfied with and proud of. I FINALLY finished revising the pattern last night in my head, re-worked the pattern this morning, and made the first plushie. It turned out perfectly! It still looks super cute, and the edges around the ice cream are cleaner since they're machine-sewn instead of hand-sewn. I had to sacrifice the separate wafer and ice cream pieces, but the plushie still has that ice cream sandwich feel to it. I think Steven would be proud!Lil' Cookie Cat is available now in my Etsy store >> etsy.com/listing/257377451/small-cookie-cat-handmade-fanart-plush
